What’s up with CoffeeReal.Estate?
Coffee Real Estate’s web site is CoffeeReal.Estate. There is no .com. Yes another business had the .com address. But we went for the cool factor of a .estate web site address. .estate is visible to Internet users as the suffix at the end of a domain name.
What is . estate? And how can the internet find web sites that do not use the .com, .gov, .net and the like to find the web site?
The Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN), which operates the Internet Assigned Numbers Authority (IANA), is in charge of maintaining the DNS root zone. Back in 2008 ICANN started a new process of top-level domain (TLD) naming policy which created the new generic top-level domains.
.estate is a generic top-level domain (gTLD) which is one of the categories of top-level domains. Anyone can register domains under the .estate gTLD. It does cost more per year to own this type of TLD. We think this new gTLD is perfect for a domain extension that can help us stand out on the Internet and in the business of real estate.
Just in case you missed it the logo is the web address. Can you see it?
